Luck?

As Quay's due date of July 9th came and went, Daniel and I were very aware of the upcoming Friday the 13th.  We discussed ways to not have our precious little daughter born on Friday the 13th.

Of course, that is when Quay arrived!

Some may consider this unlucky.  However, Quay appears to have all sorts of luck.  She was born on 7/13/2012, at 7:01, and weighed 7 pounds, 14 ounces.  Therefore, she has three number sevens in her birth statistics.  This is extremely lucky!

What's with the triple sevens?  Many people in Western societies think of 777 as lucky.  It has been used to symbolize health - a clear conscience and connection between the body and soul.  There are many references to sevens in the Bible, often in groups of three.  (On the seventh day that Joshua marched his army around Jericho, accompanied by seven priests carrying seven trumpets, the wall representing lies and injustice fell down - seven days to create the earth - seven spiritual gifts, etc.)  Then, of course, there are the lucky triple sevens at the casino. What luck!
