How do you say goodbye to a friend you've had for over 10 years? A few weeks ago one of our closest friends, Scott, called to say that he and his wife and daughter would be moving to Spokane, Washington later this month. While the news caused us to be excited for the new possibilities and adventures that he would have with his family, it also caused us to feel sad.
Scott and Daniel met in college about a year before Daniel and I met. They were roommates at their college Center Street apartment and eventually, after college, all three of us were roommates in our Market Street house in Bloomsburg. We have shared an immeasurable wealth of experiences, some crazier than others, think Coventry 2004 . . ., Daniel was the best man in Scott's wedding last October, and the emotions have run deep between us all.
Scott is currently living in the Wilkes-Barre area and he came for a weekend hang last weekend since he will be hitting the road this coming Monday. The boys got together for some good old-fashioned fun at the farm on Saturday night and then we bid Scott farewell on Sunday.
We wish Scott, Amy, and Kinsey safe travels as they strike out for several days of cross country travel in the coming week. We wish them love, happiness, and all the best and we look forward to seeing them all again.
