9 Months Old!

Today Trafton turned nine months old! Our big guy is sitting very well and laughing a ton. He is not only scooting like crazy, but also rolling several times in a row to move side to side. He sucks his thumb to soothe himself and can clap his hands and wave, too. He still shows no signs of crawling, but he is an efficient mover, nonetheless :) He went to the doctor two weeks ago (for double ear infections, which have thankfully cleared all up) and weighed in at 19 1/2 pounds. His well baby visit isn't until next week. His favorite toys are his baby mirror, his rolling/singing/counting turtle, and the remote control for the TV. Our friend, Rich, just donated an old remote that doesn't work for any of his electronics to Trafton's cause and Trafton just thinks it's great! The other day he decided to go on a nursing strike which caused me all sorts of grief. He took milk in the morning and then refused it at all other feeding times throughout the day. Maybe because he was in teething pain? I am not sure why, but he is back to eating - it only lasted one day. He has two bottom teeth and his two top teeth are about halfway in now. Trafton is still a wonderful sleeper getting about 15 hours a day. We are just having so much fun with him!

Happily playing on the floor

Chillin' in the crib (sockless, of course!)

I love how Trafton is artfully posed in the nude so as not to show any indecent parts!

Trafton is helping me peel potatoes with wooden tongs.

Anytime Trafton is being held and gets near the drums, he goes for them. Maybe he'll be just like his daddy and have a love for the thump.

Pack n Play time

Trafton loves to scoot as far under the couch as possible. I really think that he thinks that he is going to be able to get under there, but his head won't fit. He tries, though by pushing his face under there and scooting into the bottom of the couch headfirst. He loves to be in tight spaces (like our cats) such as under tables, under our bed, and under the TV stand.

Trafton's favorites: the baby mirror and the turtle

Maybe I should climb higher?

Look-alikes

Having dinner at Rich's house

Trafton is happy to be held by Rich.

Trafton has rarely fallen asleep in my arms - I just think it's so great when he does!

And now he's sleeping in Daddy's arms!

Even more rare - he actually took a nap with me :)

  1. Kristen,

Trafton is too cute. I love that I get to see him when I pick Gavin up at school. It is so funny - the other day everyone was still sleeping when I arrived to pick up Gavin (including Gavin), but Trafton was wide awake playing with the books. It is also funny to see how many clothes Trafton and Owen have in common!
