Spring Pickin' Festival

Last Saturday we went to the Spring Pickin' Festival in Blain, Pennsylvania.  It took us about an hour and forty-five minutes to get there from Bloomsburg on some unfamiliar roads.  On the drive home at dusk we actually passed four horse and buggies before we passed one car - definite Amish country!

We had sooo much fun!  This was the first festival of the year for us so we weren't too sure how Trafton would do.  He hasn't been outside to see live music in a setting like this since last September.  Although he was relatively untinterested in the bands, he did find plenty to occupy himself and he seemed to have a really great time, too.    Last July at the OATS festival in Benton, Trafton spent all of him time crawling around and going to the front of the stage to see the music.  This festival he spent all of his time running around, playing with his toys, asking me to read him books and playing with the ice in the coolers.

Upon arrival, Trafton wanted to go check things out immediately.

Leaving us behind

Playing with the ice - this was probably his favorite activity of the day.

The second band that we saw - Waiting on a Train - from the York area

The music field was reallly nice - there were lots of trees to provide shade for the audience.

I am not sure what would have captured most of his attention had we not brought coolers full of ice?

Trafton has recently developed the 'sideways eye' when he is trying to be sneaky.  Here he is leaving our spot, hoping to go unnoticed :)

Trafton found some firewood and stones to play with.

Relaxing - the weather couldn't have been any better!

Dinner time

The third band that we saw - Coal Town Rounders - from the Scranton area

Rambling around along the creek

Belly picture - 32 weeks along!

Taking in the Coal Town Rounders nice and close
