The Bloomsburg Fair

It's always a big deal when the Bloomsburg Fair comes to town.  Between 20,000 and 75,000 people attend this event per day which covers two September weekends and the week in between.  We happen to live approximately two blocks from the entrance gate and get the extreme pleasure of fair traffic, constant ride sounds, and interesting smells for the duration of the event.  While we enjoy going to the fair, we also enjoy the peace that comes when the fair leaves town.

There was no fair last year - it was the first time it was cancelled in its history (over 150 years!), due to the severe flooding of the town and fairgrounds.  This year we went for the first night, Friday the 21st, when it was reduced admission since not everything was open yet and again on the second Friday, the 28th, to spend the entire day.  We had a great time and the kids both did very well.  Trafton enjoyed cruising around in his new fancy stroller, seeing the animals, looking at the trucks and other farm equipment, and eating all the delicious fair food.

Trafton loved all the equipment on display!

Trafton  got to run around and play with Daddy while Quay had her dinner.

Wings and Mountain Fries!

Two years ago at the fair, Trafton was just a baby, and since it was cancelled last year, this was the first time he was able to enjoy all the delicious cuisine!
